The Mass of Narcissism

The reason why Roger Thisdell's approach to finding the origin point of consciousness is not easy for most people
is because sticky masses of narcissism surround that origin point.

Roger Thisdell once described finding the origin point as feeling like
"trying to grasp a tomato seed with your fingers,"
And it seems that the slippery mucus encasing that seed is akin to narcissism.
For some people, this mucus can even become as large as a snowball.
The larger its volume, the harder it is to find the origin point.
The origin point, as defined in mathematics, has no volume—it only has a position.

나르시시즘의 덩어리

Roger Thisdell이 소개한 의식의 기원점 찾기가 일반인들에게 쉽지 않은 이유는

그 기원점 주변에 나르시시즘의 끈적이는 덩어리들이 둘러싸고 있기 때문이다.

 

로저 디스델은 기원점 찾기가 

마치 “토마토의 씨앗을 손가락으로 붙잡으려 애쓰는 것처럼” 느껴지기도 한다고 말했는데,

그 씨앗의 주변에 붙어있는 미끌미끌한 점액질이 나르시시즘인 듯 생각된다.

사람에 따라서는 그 점액질이 눈덩이처럼 크기도 하다.

그 부피가 클수록 기원점을 찾기가 어려울 것이다.

기원점은 수학에서의 정의처럼 위치만 있고 부피는 전혀 없는 것이다.
