Reaching True Awareness Beyond Consciousness

Reaching True Awareness Beyond Consciousness

Enlightenment happens in an instant, but the reason we do not awaken is because we continuously bury ourselves under delusions and obstacles to avoid awakening. There is nothing as important or essential as love for the truth when it comes to removing every illusion.

Yet, we do not love the truth more than we love ourselves.
On the contrary, you might believe that the truth should love you.
"Isn't that a given because it's the truth?" you may even rebut.
But the truth does not love the filth you have piled upon yourself.

Have you ever seen hoarders who obsessively collect trash, claiming ownership over their garbage-filled rooms?
That is a mirror of our true state.

We cannot forcefully demolish the trash-filled house, nor can we compel the hoarder to undergo treatment.

The best course of action—perhaps the only course—is for the person to truly perceive their condition and take the first step to walk out voluntarily.

It is the same with us.

Though the stories, wounds, and emotions that reek of stench may feel comforting and familiar, deep down, we know it. We are lying atop heaps of trash.
Bound by the comfort of repeatedly playing our familiar patterns, we surrender our lives to them.

When the day comes that we finally leave the kingdom of trash and filth, some may walk out instantly, while others may take their time, removing trash piece by piece as they go.

This divergence is what creates the differences in each individual's awakening process.

However, at this point, most people would think to themselves:
"I’m not that bad."

But do you know this?
In the realm of awakening, it is actually more of a blessing for trash to simply pile up as plain garbage.

The majority of us, however, carefully wrap our putrid wounds and reeking emotions in pretty, elegant packaging and put them on display.
Sometimes, we even wrap them in tragedy or sadness to elevate their value, treating them as something precious.

Eventually, you no longer recognize it as trash.
With all the dazzling, elegant decorations surrounding you, designed to soothe and comfort you, how could you possibly see it as garbage?

One day, someone approaches you and says:
"Take a look inside. There’s nothing but rotting foulness in there. You’re slowly suffocating."

How many of us would listen to that person?

Most will respond instead with outrage:
"How dare you call my belongings trash? Who do you think you are to insult me like this?"
They would drive out the person bearing the truth, spitting every insult they can and attacking them with disdain.

Then, they would return to the comfort of their room, smirking in satisfaction.
"That fool dared to try and take what is mine. My possessions must be truly wonderful if they wanted to snatch them away. It was a close call—they almost opened my precious box."

But, among us, there may be one in a hundred—or one in ten thousand—who decides to open the box.

They, of course, will be shocked at what they see. Yet, two-thirds of them will rewrap the box and pretend nothing happened.
They will resent the person who showed them the truth, eventually convincing themselves that person was wicked. In justifying their actions, they will wrap their trash even tighter, labeling it with tags that say "righteousness" or "the right choice."

The remaining third, however, will approach the person who showed them the truth and ask in astonishment,
"What is this?"

The bearer of truth will respond calmly,
"This is your truth."

Though emotions will stir violently within them, they will eventually ask the truth-bearer for the meaning of their lives.
Only then will the truth-bearer suggest leaving the kingdom of trash and entering the realm of true existence together.

At this point, however, half of that remaining third will be overcome with fear and fail to take the journey.

"I know this is trash, but I cannot imagine a life without these boxes. The idea of living without them terrifies me. I’ll simply take comfort in knowing the truth now and be satisfied."

In the end, only a very small fraction will follow the truth-bearer and escape the kingdom of trash.

Thus, the path of awakening—the journey toward actual truth—is one that unfolds at an extraordinarily low probability.

The wisest are those who leave immediately when the truth is revealed to them.

The next wisest are those who face and open their box upon hearing the truth.

Lastly, there are those who slowly clear away each piece of trash, one by one.
